Posted by Bengaluru: Edgehax, an Edge AI hardware platform startup has raised Rs.1.39 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The fresh capital will support scaling production and accelerating product development. Also, expanding presence in international markets including Singapore, the US and Europe.
Edgehax’s Edge AI hardware platform integrates compute, connectivity and storage on a single modular board. It enables startups, OEMs and enterprises to prototype and develop hardware-first innovations rapidly. Organisations are already using the company’s solutions in industrial gateways, autonomous vehicles, drones, Indian defence systems, and 4G/5G connectivity.
“Qur goal is to become a global pioneer in Edge AI Gateways and Single Board Computers,” said Prabhu Stavarmath, CEO and Co-Founder of Edgehax.
By delivering fully integrated hardware platforms with open-source firmware and scalable cloud software, the startup is enabling rapid product development for startups, enterprises, and OEMs worldwide, accroding to Stavarmath.
“By 2029, Edgehax aims to empower over 100 million developers using its boards and tools across APAC, the US, and Europe,” added Stavarmath.
Prabhu Stavarmath and Savitri Patil co-founded Edgehax – a full-stack Edge AI hardware platform in 2025. The platform combines compute, connectivity and storage on a single board.
The company recently won the NXP Silicon Seeds Startup Program 2025 for developing a low-cost Edge AI compute module based on NXP chips for global automotive and consumer IoT markets. It is planning a product launch in Singapore by December 2025.
Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is backing the tech startup Edgehax. And it has secured MeitY’s Bhashini Startup Velocity 1.0 program award to build hardware that enables mass-market adoption of the Digital India Bhashini Voice AI platform.
“Despite India’s tech market size, a domestic hardware prototyping platform has been missing,” said Vikram Ramasubramanian, Partner – Inflection Point Ventures.
“Our investment in Edgehax comes at a pivotal moment in time where the government also underlines India’s need for domestically designed and manufactured flexible hardware that is accessible, reliable and affordable,” added Ramasubramanian.
Currently, over 5,000 Edgehax gateway boards are in production and another 10,000 compute modules are expected to rollout by 2025 end. The increasing demand for real-time data processing is driving the global edge hardware market. The market expected to increase more than double to nearly $59 billion by 2030.
