Chennai: Redington and AWS have signed a Revenue Acceleration Pilot (REAP) contract to enable a new downstream strategic distribution agreement. The initiative aims to strengthen cloud adoption among AWS Partner Network (APN) members by offering them enhanced access to technical expertise, funding, and go-to-market resources.

The agreement enables Redington to extend the benefits it receives from AWS including technical support and strategic resources—to other partners in its network. The move is part of a broader effort to accelerate digital transformation among businesses in India by empowering mid-tier partners with limited direct access to AWS’s full range of offerings.

Redington and AWS target cloud growth in India

According to Redington, the collaboration focuses on supporting high-potential partners by helping them unlock business opportunities and deliver measurable outcomes to end customers. This includes tailored business development initiatives, training, and marketing support.

“At Redington, we are committed to driving cloud adoption at scale by empowering our partners with the right resources, expertise, and strategic support,” said Sridhar S, EVP – Redington Limited. “The REAP programme with AWS allows us to lead transformative initiatives that foster innovation and sustainable growth.”

“Through strategic investments in upskilling, go-to-market capabilities, and cloud transformation, we are cultivating an ecosystem that enables partners to scale,” added Sridhar.

“Redington exemplifies what we value in a strategic distributor – strong technical capabilities, broad market reach, and a shared mission to democratise technology,” said Praveen Sridhar, Head of Partner Business, AWS India and South Asia. “Through this REAP initiative, we’re not just accelerating cloud adoption; we’re enabling transformative, partner-led growth that aligns with the scale and ambition of our customers across India.”

The collaboration is expected to serve as a model for how distributors can manage downstream partnerships to expand cloud services in emerging markets. By leveraging its wide reach and technical know-how, Redington will help bridge the gap for mid-sized partners that might otherwise struggle to fully engage with AWS solutions.

This strategic move reflects Redington’s ongoing focus on building a robust cloud ecosystem in India through upskilling, resource sharing, and collaborative go-to-market efforts with AWS.
