Mumbai: Indian geospatial technology company Genesys has taken a significant step in enhancing the digital address infrastructure by integrating DIGIPIN, India’s standardised digital address layer, into its 2D and 3D mapping systems. This development, aligned with the Department of Posts’ DHRUVA framework, positions Genesys at the forefront of building a comprehensive Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for verified, geocoded addresses across India.

The Genesys platform covers over 400 million building footprints, 8.3 million kilometres of road networks, and more than 19,000 PIN-code zones, transforming static location data into a dynamic and interoperable address ecosystem. The system supports real-time address generation, lookup, and visual verification, forming a critical part of India’s digital address infrastructure.

“We’re building a bridge between mapped locations and real-world service delivery.” said Sajid Malik, Chairman, Genesys. “Our platform ensures that every verified address can support smarter cities, faster logistics, and more transparent governance.”

With DIGIPIN now integrated into its national 2D maps and 3D Digital Twin pilots underway in key cities, Genesys is embedding the address intelligence layer necessary for India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, complementing Aadhaar for identity and UPI for payments.

The company’s AI-driven 3D Digital Twin platform enhances this digital address infrastructure in India by linking address data with city infrastructure, planning systems, and emergency response services. This immersive approach provides deeper spatial intelligence beyond traditional 2D maps.

Designed for scale and interoperability, the Genesys platform enables secure, role-based access to verified address data for various stakeholders, including Address Information Providers (AIPs), Agents (AIAs), and Users (AIUs). It supports crucial use cases such as digital address creation and management, consent-based data sharing, cross-platform integration, and address-based service discovery.

The platform also features powerful visual validation tools, geofencing capabilities, and suffix-based digital address identifiers (e.g., storename@digipin), making addresses easier to use and verify across government systems and consumer platforms.

Genesys continues to collaborate with ministries, smart cities, urban local bodies, and digital service providers to scale India’s digital address infrastructure, ensuring every location is connected to opportunity and inclusion.
