Trend Micro and Google Cloud expand alliance to drive AI-led cybersecurity

Hong Kong: Cybersecurity solutions provider Trend Micro and Google Cloud have announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to deliver advanced AI-powered cybersecurity and support sovereign cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments.

The collaboration brings together Trend Micro’s deep security expertise and Google Cloud’s innovation in AI and infrastructure, aiming to enhance enterprise and consumer protection and build digital trust at scale.

“By seamlessly extending Google Cloud’s native security with Trend Micro’s specialized defenses, we empower organisations to accelerate their cloud transformation journeys. This enables them to innovate securely and scale confidently in a dynamic AI era,” added Bajwa.

As part of the expanded alliance, Trend Micro and Google Cloud are launching several key initiatives.

Trend Vision One Sovereign and Private Cloud has been certified for Google Cloud Assured Workloads, allowing organisations to secure critical workloads across public, hybrid, and private environments while maintaining data sovereignty and compliance.

Solutions now available via Google Cloud Marketplace, including Trend Vision One and its sovereign variant, streamlining deployment and cloud management.

Four million+ downloads of Trend Micro Cloud App Security on Google Workspace Marketplace, highlighting enterprise-wide adoption.

AI-powered protection against online scams, with Trend’s ScamCheck app now leveraging Gemini models through Vertex AI to analyse suspicious SMS content and images used by scammers.

According to both companies, the enhanced partnership will help businesses tackle rising cybersecurity threats while supporting innovation in highly regulated and emerging markets.
