Posted by Taipei, Taiwan – AI cybersecurity company CyCraft has launched XecGuard – the firewall for LLMs. The plug-and-play security solution designed specifically to defend Large Language Models (LLMs) from emerging cyber threats. The company is calling XecGuard the world’s first purpose-built firewall for LLMs, a move that reflects growing concerns over AI security in enterprise environments.
As LLMs become more widely adopted across industries, they are increasingly vulnerable to sophisticated attacks, including prompt injection, prompt extraction, and jailbreak attempts. These types of threats can expose sensitive data, destabilise services, and erode user trust, especially when AI is deployed without built-in security measures.

CyCraft said that XecGuard directly addresses these risks by offering real-time, autonomous defense capabilities for AI models. The system is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing LLM deployments, requiring no changes to architecture and supporting a range of environments—from cloud platforms like AWS and Cloudflare Workers AI, to on-premises servers powered by NVIDIA hardware.
“AI security must be a standard feature—not an optional add-on,” said Benson Wu, CEO of CyCraft, highlighting XecGuard’s resilience and integration of experience from defending critical sectors.
XecGuard is available as a SaaS solution, a cloud-based firewall, or as an embedded security module for customised enterprise AI systems. Its compatibility with OpenAI models is expected to help organisations deploy secure LLMs more quickly and confidently.
The launch of XecGuard also signals a philosophical shift in cybersecurity strategy, according to CyCraft executives. “In the past, we used AI to tackle cybersecurity challenges; now, we’re using AI to protect AI,” said Jeremy Chiu, CTO and Co-Founder of CyCraft.
