Posted by Trivandrum : Tata Elxsi, a design and technology services firm and Suzuki Motor, a Japanese mobility manufacturer, today opened the SUZUKI TATA ELXSI Cloud HIL Centre in Trivandrum, India.
Its Suzuki’s first full-vehicle cloud-enabled Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation centre. After the Offshore Development Centre (ODC) in Pune, this is the second engineering center under the Tata Elxsi Suzuki partnership.
The Cloud HIL Centre supports early-stage, full-vehicle simulation and validation using cloud-native infrastructure. It enables Suzuki’s development and test teams to remotely access HIL infrastructure integrated with Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
This reduces reliance on physical prototypes and speeds up validation cycles across global R&D centres. The centre aligns with Suzuki’s roadmap for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and the shift towards software-led scalable development.
Built to support this transformation, the centre integrates Tata Elxsi’s expertise in automotive verification and validation, test automation, and simulation. This will improve development speed, quality and future readiness.
As part of Suzuki’s global ‘SDV Right’ strategy for Electrical and Electronic virtual development, the Cloud HIL Centre is vital for continuous integration, faster release cycles and system reliability.
This new centre strengthens the Tata Elxsi Suzuki partnership, complementing the success of the Pune ODC and supporting long-term engineering collaboration for future mobility programmes worldwide.
