This launch brings a new level of control and efficiency for developers and IT teams managing DynamoDB workloads across e-commerce, AI, mobile, and real-time applications.
Clumio Backtrack for Amazon DynamoDB enables near-instant rollback of database tables to a previous state, eliminating the need for full table restores and manual data stitching. With this solution, teams can restore only the affected partitions, cutting down recovery time from hours or days to minutes, while significantly reducing operational overhead and cloud storage costs.

Traditionally, recovering data from Amazon DynamoDB required restoring entire tables and manually transferring specific items, which could be a time-consuming and resource-heavy process, especially for enterprises managing terabytes of data. Clumio Backtrack changes that with an industry-first ability to instantly revert existing tables without reconfiguration and with support for fine-grained partition recovery.
The innovation builds on the momentum of Commvault’s Clumio Backtrack for Amazon S3, launched earlier this year. Together, these tools offer AWS users the ability to rapidly recover from data loss or corruption across key cloud-native services.
Amazon DynamoDB remains a critical cloud-native NoSQL database in production, thanks to major improvements across consistency, cost and performance, according to Archana Venkatraman, Senior Research Director, Cloud Data Management – IDC.

Clumio Backtrack for Amazon DynamoDB is now generally available worldwide via the AWS Marketplace, with consumption-based pricing.
