Posted by Mumbai: WinZO, India’s largest vernacular social gaming and interactive entertainment platform, is scaling its Global Centre of Excellence (GCoE) in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The initiative aims to empower over 2,000 startups in gaming and interactive entertainment segment with cloud tools, mentorship, and access to global growth opportunities.
Launched in November 2024 with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), WinZO’s Global Centre of Excellence now leverages AWS’ advanced technologies to accelerate innovation in the gaming sector. The focus is on enabling game studios to harness generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) and cloud services to build and scale games more efficiently.
Using AWS solutions like Amazon Bedrock, the GCoE supports AI-powered features such as multilingual customer support, real-time issue resolution, and faster game testing. This reduces development time and improves player experience.
WinZO is also using Amazon SageMaker to help developers personalise content and game modes based on player preferences and behaviour. This creates dynamic experiences that boost engagement and retention.
Training is another core component. Through AWS Training and Certification, WinZO offers structured programmes in Gen AI and cloud computing for developers and employees. The initiative is also aligned with the AWS Skills to Job Tech Alliance in India, supporting a cloud-skilled workforce for the future.
The GCoE also supports early-stage startups with AWS accelerator programmes, expert mentoring, cloud credits, and AI-focused workshops. Earlier this year, WinZO launched its first developer hackathon, WinZO IGNITE, which will expand globally in future editions.
