New Delhi: Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has raised ₹7 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). Zaperon will use the fresh funding to advance its product capabilities, launch enterprise-grade AI security frameworks, and expand its presence in India and the US.
The startup is building a unified cybersecurity platform for the Agentic AI era that will secure the rapidly expanding ecosystem of human and non-human identities. By converging identity security, data security and AI governance, Zaperon offers a single platform for enterprises to control how users, applications and AI agents access and interact with sensitive data and cloud infrastructure.
This unified approach helps organisations replace fragmented security controls with consistent, identity and context-aware policies across their digital and AI environments.
Its enterprise client base spans banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and government sectors where protecting sensitive data and controlling access to critical systems are central to security and compliance. Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has earned recognition from Nasscom and MeitY for its innovative security products.
“As enterprises move from experimenting with AI to deploying AI agents across critical workflows, securing the identities, access, and data associated with these systems is becoming increasingly important,” said Minal Shah, Principal – Southeast Asia, IPV.
“Zaperon is addressing this shift with a unified approach to identity and data security, backed by its experience working with enterprises across security-sensitive sectors. We see an opportunity for Zaperon to build on this foundation, strengthen its AI security capabilities and expand its presence across global markets,” added Shah.
Two former MBA classmates Vineet Gupta and Sachine Aggarwal founded Zaperon in 2021. The duo has more than two decades of experience across product engineering, corporate strategy and management consulting.
Vineet Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, has held product and engineering roles at VMware, Juniper Networks and Norton and leads product development and business strategy at Zaperon. While Sachin Aggarwal, Co-Founder and COO lead Zaperon’s business operations, sales and marketing. In past, he has worked across corporate strategy and consulting with KPMG, POSCO and Kia Motors.
“Our vision is to build the world’s leading unified cybersecurity platform that protects enterprises from data breaches involving both human and non-human identities,” commented Zaperon’s Gupta.
“We are grateful to IPV for believing in our vision and for guiding us through a structured and thoughtful fundraising process, an experience that has helped us strengthen our strategic approach and prepare Zaperon for its next phase of growth,” added Gupta.
Zaperon sits at the intersection of two rapidly growing markets: identity security and data security. Globally, this convergence represents an estimated $16 billion opportunity today and projected to grow to $35 billion by 2030. The rapid adoption of AI agents and rising incidents of data leakage involving non-human identities accessing enterprise applications and sensitive data are key factors to drive this growth.
