SIDBI and C-DAC agree to build cybersecurity capabilities

Mumbai: SIDBI and C-DAC have agreed to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities through a signed MoU.

The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The signed MoU between the two entities focuses on strengthening cybersecurity capabilities in the banking space.

C-DAC is a premier R&D organisation under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (Meity), Government of India. As the principal financial institution, SIDBI’s focus has been serving Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Under the signed MoU, SIDBI and C-DAC will collaborate to explore innovation and use of emerging technologies in the areas of Cybersecurity, AI/ML, Blockchain and other technologies. Along with related training and capacity building aspects in the banking sector.

Sudatta Mandal, SIDBI’s Deputy MD and Magesh E, Executive Director, C-DAC signed the MoU during a virtual meet.

Satheesh G, Senior Director and Head of Cybersecurity Group, Senthilkumar K.B and Dr Dittin Andrews, Joint Directors from C-DAC and Ravi Tyagi, SIDBI’s Chief GM, Paramendra Tiwary, SIDBI’s CTO along with Sudhir Tandon, GM – SIDBI remained present during this virtual meet.
