Mumbai: Global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky reported a 24% surge in total product sales in India in 2024. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across the South Asian market.
Kaspersky sees 24% surge in product sales
The growth was fueled by strong performances in both the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments. Overall, Kaspersky recorded a 24% year-over-year increase in total product sales in India in 2024. B2B and B2C segments posted increase in product sales by 20% and 30% respectively. It reflected heightened awareness and demand for cybersecurity solutions among Indian users.
Among its enterprise offerings, Kaspersky’s Threat Data Feeds — part of its threat intelligence suite — recorded a staggering 209% increase in adoption. Its Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Optimum solution also saw a 44% jump in sales compared to the previous year.
India among top performing markets
“The Indian cybersecurity market is one of the top performing markets for Kaspersky in South Asia. We have shown an impressive growth rate across all our target product groups for the country,” said Jaydeep Singh, GM – India, Kaspersky.
“Indian users, both in the B2B and B2C segments, are aware of the threat incidents and are willing to take solid cybersecurity measures to protect themselves. This is also underscored by the cybersecurity and digital safety initiatives being taken by the Indian government,” added Singh.
Singh added that cyber awareness and regulatory measures like the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and RBI’s cybersecurity guidelines have played a critical role in driving demand.
“This has helped us to grow in the market and we are ready to continue this momentum in 2025,” pointed out Singh.
To support its growth, Kaspersky has tripled its local headcount in India over the past two years. It expanded teams in sales, pre-sales, technical support, and customer experience. The company now regards India as a key regional hub for innovation and threat intelligence.
Kaspersky’s India-based researchers are currently monitoring over 900 advanced persistent threat (APT) groups daily as part of the company’s global threat tracking network. The local team also contributes to Digital Footprint Intelligence (DFI) efforts, including brand protection and takedown services, which are in increasing demand across the region.
In 2024, Kaspersky also launched its Kaspersky Next product line, a new B2B flagship portfolio combining advanced endpoint protection with EDR and XDR (Extended Detection and Response) capabilities. The launch has further strengthened its enterprise ecosystem and contributed to India’s double-digit growth.
With India now positioned as a priority market within the Asia Pacific region, Kaspersky aims to continue its upward trajectory into 2025, backed by rising cybersecurity awareness, regulatory support, and a robust local presence.
