Mumbai: In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the United Kingdom, Firstsource Solutions has announced the acquisition of Pastdue Credit Solutions, a leading UK-based debt collection firm. The Firstsource UK acquisition marks a significant step in expanding the company’s offerings across utilities, telecoms, and public sector domains. Completion of the deal is subject to approval by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Firstsource, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, is a global provider of domain-led Business Process Services (BPS). This acquisition enables the company to deepen its capabilities in first- and third-party collections, further embedding its role in one of the UK’s most critical service areas.
“We are excited by the opportunity this acquisition brings. Pastdue Credit Solutions’ deep expertise in first-and third-party collections, particularly across utilities, financial services, and the public sector, strengthens our capabilities in a space that is both critical and growing,” said Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group and Firstsource.
“This acquisition aligns with our long-term strategy to build a differentiated collections business with strong sectoral depth and local delivery capabilities across the UK. We’re confident in the cultural and operational fit, and we look forward to welcoming the Pastdue Credit Solutions team as we scale this platform together—with resilience, relevance, and responsibility,” added Goenka.
The Firstsource UK acquisition comes at a time of growing demand for responsible and tech-enabled collections services. With consumer debt on the rise and an increasing role for private agencies in public sector collections, the market now presents a £1.9 billion opportunity. By blending its digital-first, AI-powered solutions with Pastdue’s strong local knowledge, Firstsource aims to deliver scalable, purpose-driven value to clients.
Phil Grant, Chairman of Pastdue Credit Solutions, said, “We are proud to be joining the Firstsource family. This partnership has the potential to enable a new and exciting chapter for our people, our valued clients, and our future.
“With Firstsource’s global reach, deep domain expertise, and strong culture of innovation, coupled with its long-established credentials in debt collection, this move will pave the way for us to scale our impact, strengthen our services, broaden our offering and unlock new opportunities together,” added Grant.
Reinforcing its investment in the UK, Firstsource was recently ranked third in the India Meets Britain Tracker 2025 by Grant Thornton, recognising top Indian employers in the UK. The Firstsource UK acquisition of Pastdue Credit Solutions will be finalised following regulatory clearance from the FCA.
