Hyderabad: Mobile services market expected to grow at 6.11% CAGR in APAC between 2020 and 2025, as per GlobalData’s forecast.
The conducive government policies and growing 5G services demand in the APAC region support the estimated revenue growth of the mobile services market.
“Between 2022 and 2025, use cases such as massive machine-type communications and ultra-reliable low-latency communications will help in the growth of 5G services. Which will, in turn, drive the mobile services market,” said Amit Sharma, Project Manager – Telecoms Market Data & Intelligence, GlobalData.
The mobile services market revenue growth expected at around $300 billion in 2020 and $404 billion in 2025. The increase in mobile subscription penetration and average revenue per user (ARPU) support the estimated revenue growth. The analysis of GlobalData’s Mobile Broadband Forecast Packs revealed.
Mobile data services segment will be the largest revenue contributor to the overall mobile communications services market in APAC region.
For instance, India will register a CAGR of 19.8% from an estimated $6.4 billion in 2020 to $15 billion by 2025 end for the mobile data segment. The increasing smartphone subscriptions and the growing adoption of 4G services with high ARPU are the key growth drivers for the Indian market.
Government policies will play a huge rule in speed up national broadband deployment projects. Including long-term evolution (LTE) and 5G network rollouts in the region. These are some of the major drivers of mobile broadband adoption in APAC during the forecast period.
The mobile network expansion and 5G rollouts is likely to gain momentum this year. In the post, the COVID-19 crisis businesses are expecting to get back to normal.
“In the developed markets across the region, the planned 5G network rollouts will play an important role in increasing the overall telecom revenues,” said Sharma.
“Also, LTE-A will remain a major mobile communication technology till 2025. It will constitute over 56% of total mobile subscriptions by 2025 end,” he stressed.
