New Delhi: Check Point has appointed Sundar N Balasubramanian as MD for India and SAARC region. Bhaskar Bakthavatsalu has been promoted to take on a global role. The changes are effective immediately, according to the company’s statement.
Balasubramanian in his role as MD for India and SAARC, will be responsible for Check Point’s continued growth in the region.
He will report to Sharat Sinha, Vice President (VP) / General Manager (GM), Asia-Pacific & Japan.
He has over 25 years of experience in information technology and has held key positions with companies such as IBM, Microsoft, and EMC/VMware.
He holds a MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.

Interestingly, although Bhaskar Bakthavatsalu, according to the statement has been elevated to a global role but the company hasn’t share more information about his new role as of now.
