Moscow, Russia: Wildberries, the largest digital retail platform in Eurasia, has launched a new ESG platform called RWB Participation to consolidate and scale its charitable, social, and environmental initiatives. This user-driven portal enables the public to support verified charities, volunteer for local projects, and contribute directly to sustainability efforts.
The ESG platform includes a dedicated Charity section, where users can browse and support causes ranging from child welfare and elder care to animal protection and environmental restoration. To encourage participation, Wildberries will match all user donations made during the platform’s first month.
“This project enables us to systematize our social and environmental initiatives in one place, ensuring transparent and accessible information about the company’s sustainability projects,” said Tatyana Kim, Founder of Wildberries. “But most importantly, the platform will unite the efforts of business, society, and foundations in socially significant and environmental projects.”
In addition to donations, RWB Participation allows users to sign up for volunteer opportunities across Russia. Wildberries said the platform was inspired by strong customer interest in social impact: 79% of customers reported participating in charitable initiatives, with another 30% saying they intend to start. More than half of respondents (55%) also reported taking personal steps to help the environment.
As part of its broader ESG commitment, Wildberries continues to prioritise sustainability across its operations. In 2024 alone, the company deployed AI-powered electric trucks with zero emissions and recycled over 167,000 tons of waste. Additionally, more than 1,600 pick-up points across the country now include donation boxes for gently used clothes and items.
Wildberries says RWB Participation is not just a portal, but a movement to create measurable social and environmental change through collective action.
