The company said that this achievement underscores its unwavering commitment towards environmental sustainability and sets a benchmark for the industry.

The company’s Bengaluru campus fulfils 94% of its energy needs, directly from wind turbines. While, the Chennai facility runs on a clean energy mix, with 22% of its power coming from combined wind and solar sources. As high as 78% of energy requirements across all the facilities located in Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai, are fulfilled through renewable sources.
To bridge the remaining gap and achieve a 100% green energy footprint, Sasken strategically utilises International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-REC). This achievement solidifies Sasken’s position as an energy-neutral organisation for its Inda operations, marking a significant stride towards meeting its ambitious SCOPE 2 carbon emission targets.

Over the past six years, Sasken has reduced its carbon footprint by 62% in its India operations through a systematic and focused approach. It has set an ambitious target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Based on current trends, the company believes it is on track to achieve this milestone a year ahead of schedule.
