Posted by Mumbai: Vertiv Holdings Co has announced the completion of its acquisition of Great Lakes Data Racks & Cabinets, a manufacturer of data rack enclosures and integrated infrastructure solutions. The deal, valued at approximately $200 million, enhances Vertiv’s capabilities in delivering high-density infrastructure for data centres and critical digital environments.
The Great Lakes Data Racks & Cabinets acquisition, previously reported as part of Vertiv’s strategic expansion, strengthens the company’s position in integrated rack, cabinet and infrastructure solutions, particularly for white space applications.

With the integration of Great Lakes, Vertiv aims to streamline infrastructure sourcing and accelerate deployment through pre-engineered solutions. The combined portfolio expected to deliver greater operational efficiency via factory integration of Vertiv power and cooling systems. Also improved scalability for AI and edge computing needs. Customers will also benefit from global support through Vertiv’s service network.
Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Great Lakes operates manufacturing and assembly sites in both the United States and Europe. Its product range includes standard and customised racks, seismic-rated cabinets, and cable management options suited for both retrofit and greenfield environments.
The acquisition enhances Vertiv’s end-to-end digital infrastructure offerings, reinforcing its ability to serve growing demand for scalable, high-performance solutions across increasingly complex computing environments.
