Posted by Frankfurt, Germany- Mumbai, India: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched three new hubs in Europe to serve global automotive clients. The company announced the expansion of its capabilities in the new Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) space with two new automotive delivery centres, located in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany and one engineering centre in Romania.
Three new hubs
These new hubs will help TCS’ global automotive clients accelerate their transition to next-gen mobility solutions. The delivery centres in Germany will support automakers in developing and deploying TCS’ software-driven services that cater to autonomous driving, infotainment, safety systems, and connected vehicle technologies.
The engineering centre in Romania will focus on designing and building advanced automotive software platforms to support early-stage development and innovation.
Automotive software capabilities
TCS said the expansion is part of a long-term strategy to strengthen its end-to-end automotive software capabilities, chip-to-cloud technologies, and services. Location of these centres will enable close collaboration with leading European OEMs and global automotive enterprises, providing nearshore capabilities, according to the company.
The new centres currently house over 100 talented professionals who will work together with more than 2000 SDV Engineers across TCS global locations. This workforce will enable the next generation automotive platforms’ development for digital cockpits and infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems, and other critical SDV functions. And support the full product lifecycle from concept and development to production and post-launch support.

Europe – a strategic location
The Mumbai headquartered company considers Europe as a strategically significant location for its automotive delivery hubs to serve the automotive industry and manufacturers in the region. It has been serving automotive customers in Europe for the past 25 years with a strong presence in automotive hubs across the region. The company has over 15,000 employees, operating from 62 offices across Europe.
In terms of revenue, the Europe region (UK and Continental Europe) contributed 31.1% during the last quarter of financial year 2024-25. However, the manufacturing sector accounted for 8.8% in the company’s overall revenue in FY 25, with a 2.9% decline in year-over-year constant currency growth.
