Mumbai: Founded in 1993, Allcargo Logistics has come a long way in its 33-year journey to become one of the largest integrated logistics solutions companies in India. Today, the Mumbai-headquartered company has over 700 facilities across India and it serves big number of customers from diverse industries.

Challenges

However, with the continued growth and expansion, Allcargo Logistics experienced that its on-premise legacy systems were inefficient and not capable to support its core business processes. It needed modern scalable cloud and AI led solutions that brings efficiency, better manageability of processes through automation, and provides real-time visibility and controls. And most importantly, improve the company’s overall financial reporting.

Implementation

After a diligent evaluation, Allcargo Logistics decided to replace its legacy systems with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications – a cloud ERP suite of applications to connect and manage core business operations. Grant Thornton Bharat, an Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) implemented Oracle Fusion Applications for the logistics company.

“Digital transformation is central to our long-term growth strategy and our commitment to operational excellence,” said Sanjay Khiyani, CIO – Allcargo Logistics.

“With Oracle Fusion Applications for finance, we have been able to bring more than 4,000 users and over 700 operating units onto a single integrated platform, giving us a foundation to use AI to simplify how work gets done, strengthen visibility, and support our continued growth,” added Khiyani.

Benefits

The deployment helped the logistics company to move onto scaleable cloud applications platform, supporting its mission of delivering customer-centric, digitally enabled, and well-governed logistics services globally. Oracle Fusion Applications for finance enabled Allcargo Logistics to standardised core business processes on a single integrated platform. It automated finance processes across its operations and reduced manual work for teams.

In addition, Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement, part of Oracle Cloud ERP, also helped Allcargo Logistics to automate end-to-end procurement processes. It provided teams with a consistent view of purchasing activity across its distributed operations.

Outcome

With Oracle Cloud ERP deployment, Allcargo Logistics has strengthened governance, improved financial reporting and operational visibility, and made month-end close time 30% faster.

“With extensive AI and Fusion Agentic Applications, Oracle is helping Allcargo Logistics automate routine tasks and move work forward, enabling its teams to spend less time managing processes and more time applying judgement to the decisions and priorities that drive business outcomes,” commented Shailesh Singla, VP – Cloud Applications, Oracle India.
