New Delhi: HFCL, a technology enterprise offering communication network solutions has won a new order worth ₹80.92 crores from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Limited.
As part of this project win, HFCL will be setting up a Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for the Delhi Metro Rail Project of DMRC.
The timeline to execute this order is 156 weeks from the date of notice to proceed (NTP). Thereafter, HFCL has to provide warranty support for 114 weeks.
The company will design, manufacture, supply, install, test and commission FOTS for three priority corridors of Phase IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Project.
HFCL has a strong track record in deploying communication networks for various railway projects globally and domestically. These include the Mauritius Metro, the ongoing Dhaka Metro project and the Gujarat Metro Rail project coupled with the Kanpur-Agra Metro Rail projects.
With all its past projects and work experience, the company is capable to expand its railway capacities in India. Moreover, HFCL has rich and varied experience in integrating communication networks for metros and mainline railways. And implementing video management systems at approximately 600 railway stations.
Recently, the Indian Railways selected the company to conduct a 5G trial between the Palwal-Mathura sector, spanning 82 km.
