Posted by Hyderabad: Lloyds Technology Centre has strengthened its leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) with the appointment of Shirish Tatikonda as AI Lead of its Hyderabad facility. The move signals Lloyds Banking Group’s continued investment in its global AI Centre of Excellence, which now comprises over 200 experts worldwide.
Tatikonda, who joins from Walmart Global Tech, brings more than 20 years of experience in AI, machine learning (ML), and scalable platform development. At Walmart, he led the Data Science and Machine Learning Engineering Group within Walmart Data Ventures. His career also includes senior roles at Target Corporation and IBM Research, where he helped design large-scale AI systems and drove innovations in computer vision, natural language processing, and advanced analytics.
Holding a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Ohio State University, Tatikonda has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers and holds more than 10 patents in the field of AI and ML.
In his new role, he will lead the AI team at Lloyds Technology Centre in Hyderabad, overseeing the development of advanced AI solutions and contributing to key AI use cases across Lloyds Banking Group.
