LeanSwift acquisition to expand Wipro’s Infor practice

Bangalore, India: Wipro has signed an agreement to acquire LeanSwit Solutions, a US-based system integrator of Infor products. With LeanSwift acquisition, Wipro will not only expand its Infor cloud practice but also strengthen its FullStride cloud services.

The Florida headquartered LeanSwift Solutions specializes in the integration of Infor products and e-Commerce services. It has development offices across US, Sweden and India.

The system integrator has a strong client base across industries including manufacturing, distribution, chemicals, fashion, food and beverages. Besides product integration, LeanSwift also provides consulting, business solutions and technical services to customers in the Infor ecosystem.

Although Wipro has not disclosed the financial details of the LeanSwift acquisition. But the buyout is vital to the Indian IT services company’ strategy around cloud transformation and cloud services.

According to Wipro, the LeanSwift acquisition aligns with its strategy to invest and expand its cloud transformation business through Wipro FullStride cloud services. The company launched Wipro FullStride cloud services in July this year and has committed to invest $1 billion in cloud technologies, capabilities, acquisitions and partnerships over the next three years.

LeanSwift through its capabilities in both the consulting and implementation space will complement Wipro’s Infor cloud practice. Leveraging LeaSwift’s strengthens and competency Wipro aims to become a market leader in the Infor industry cloud services. Infor owned by Koch Industries is among the top three enterprise resource planning software vendors globally.

“This acquisition will establish a strong, industry-focused Infor Practice that will help us win large deals in the Cloud ERP space,” commented Dwarkanhalli.

The combined entity will provide Wipro with an edge in key transformation deals, especially in the manufacturing and distribution industry, combining Infor CloudSuite and broader cloud-native digital capabilities.

Cloud ERP market size is estimated to reach $41.09 billion by 2025 at a CAGR of 9% between 2020 and 2025, according to Industry ARC.
