Bangalore: Fortinet and AWS have announced new integrations that covers from firewall to managed services. These integrations further provide customers with advanced security across their cloud platforms, applications, and network.

The new integrations between Fortinet and AWS will provide an integrated next-generation firewall solution to protect customer workloads on AWS.

Fortinet said it is continuing to provide a broad set of natively integrated security solutions using AWS. It will provide customers with full visibility and control of applications and centralised management across cloud and hybrid environments.

Among the newest integrations, both companies have come up with a new managed service – AWS Network Firewall. It is easy to deploy essential network protections for all of a customer’s Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (Amazon VPCs).

This allows organisations to use Fortinet managed IPS rules to centrally set policies across all of their Amazon VPCs and accounts.

These new Fortinet managed rulesets make it easy for customers to import rules and integrate FortiGuard Labs’ threat intelligence with AWS Network Firewall as an additional layer of protection.

Fortinet and AWS have also integrated firewall with load balancer. Fortinet’s FortiGate-VM has been integrated with AWS Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB) to help organisations simplify and secure their Amazon VPC environments while improving high availability and scaling.

Together, FortiGate-VM and AWS Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB) offer an enhanced cloud security service and cloud management solution that provides enterprise customers fast, flexible access to the cloud.

Besides, Fortinet’s new consulting services are available for AWS customers. Customers can avail this new advance security implementation related consulting services in AWS Marketplace.

Also, there’s a service for security assessments of AWS deployments to help organisations’ srengthen security posture and remediate existing misconfigurations.

“Enterprises are increasingly looking to integrate both native cloud security and Fortinet’s enterprise-class cloud security offerings to protect their workloads on AWS,” said Rajesh Maurya, Regional VP – India and SAARC, Fortinet.

“Fortinet has always collaborated closely with AWS on security initiatives and we will leverage AWS Marketplace to further enable rapid deployment,” added Maurya.
