Bangalore: Atos SE, a global digital transformation player today said that it has been informed that the review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) of its proposed acquisition of Syntel has been completed, and there are no unresolved national security issues with respect to the transaction.

CFIUS was the last outstanding regulatory authorization prior to closing. Antitrust clearance decisions have previously been obtained from antitrust authorities in the United States, Austria, Serbia and India.

The transaction remains subject to approval by Syntel’s shareholders at the special meeting scheduled on October 1, 2018. The transaction is then expected to close in early Q4 2018.

In July early this year, Atos had said that it will acquire Syntel for $3.4 billion worth cash deal, subject to the approval by company’s board members and investors.
