Streamcast Group to set up its first datacentre in India, plans to invest over Rs 2200 crore in next 4-5 years

Sawantwadi: Streamcast Group, a private IP cloud operator has announced its plans to launch a high compute datecentre in Sawantwadi located in Maharashtra state, through its cloud computing business arm Streamcloud. Spread across 12 acres of land, Streamcloud’s new datacentre will mark the company’s first datacentre in India with an investment of over Rs 2200 crore over the next 4-5 years. Also, it plans to launch SAI Centre of IT Excellence – a learning institute for advanced vocational IT courses for the youth of Sindhudurg and neighbouring areas.

And with Streamcast’s philosophy of benefiting the entire community, the launch of SAI Centre of IT Excellence will give the youth of Sindhudurg an opportunity to train in all facets of hardware and software development, empowering them to work anywhere in this global landscape,” said Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of State for Home (rural) Planning, Finance and Guardian Minister of Sindhudurg district, Maharashtra.
