NEW DELHI: Western Digital organised a virtual Partner Summit in India on August 20. Over 1400 partners across consumer, commercial and enterprise segments attended the virtual meet.

These 1400 partners included national distributors, tier-2 and tier-3 partners and retailers across India. Besides, OEM customers, large retailers along with key stakeholders from major e-commerce players also attended this virtual event.

The day-long virtual event aimed at acknowledging channel partners for their significant contribution to Western Digital‘s growth and expansion in India. The event recognised them for their performance and to familiarise them with Western Digital’s latest broad portfolio of storage solutions.

Western Digital’s global and regional leadership team virtually met and interacted with the customers. The interaction revolved around the evolution of storage needs, trends and emerging opportunities.

The event featured Western Digital’s eight virtual stalls to familiarise channel partners with information on the company’s programs and latest SSD, Flash and HDD-based products and solutions.

Besides, a series of online training sessions were also hosted to enable understanding of Western Digital’s complete range of solutions.

“Our channel partners play a crucial role in our success. And are a natural extension of our business,” said Khalid Wani, Director – Sales, Western Digital India.

“We believe in collaboration, and understand the importance and requirement of identifying and rewarding their performance. With the Western Digital Partner Summit, we continue to reinvent the way we work with our channel partners from across the spectrum,” added Wani.

The current environment, according to Jaganathan Chelliah, Direction – Marketing, Western Digital India, has limited the company’s efforts to organise a large scale physical event.

“But we were able to create a digital platform to bring our channel partners together, share our vision for the Indian market and how we are building a strong bond with them to win together,” said Chelliah.

“We are glad to see a huge turnout for the summit. We will continue to run robust channel partner marketing programs that enable our channel partners to meet the emerging data needs of the Indian market,” commented Chelliah.
