Posted by Bangalore: Payments solutions company Razorpay appointed Murali Brahmadesam as Head of Engineering and CTO. Murali Brahmadesam joins Razorpay from AWS, where he was leading global engineering for Aurora Database Engines & Distributed Storage.
With over two decades of experience, Murali considered a tech industry veteran brings together in-depth knowledge of managing diverse technology functions at scale. He has majorly worked at Amazon and Microsoft during his career in India and USA, where he has held several, technology and leadership roles.
With this new appointment, Razorpay’s Co-founder Shashank Kumar has elevated himself to the role and position of “Co-Founder and MD.” Previously, Kumar was leading the role of CTO.
The CTO’s role at Razorpay is a critical one that steers the company’s technology, engineering, and innovation strategies, aligning them with business goals. As Murali takes over, he will drive the overall engineering strategy and development at Razorpay, while driving the stellar growth of Razorpay Engineering.
