Cyrus Adaggra joins Equinix Asia-Pacific

Mumbai: Cyrus Adaggra appointed as Vice President of Corporate Development, Equinix Asia-Pacific, with immediate effect.

Based in Sydney, Cyrus Adaggra will lead the Equinix Asia-Pacific Corporate Development team in driving the growth strategy and expand its footprint in existing and new markets across the region.

“Cyrus’ extensive background in the telecommunications industry, combined with his expertise in corporate development and mergers and acquisitions, make him a valuable addition to the Equinix Asia-Pacific executive management team,” said Jeremy Deutsch, President, Equinix Asia-Pacific.

Asia-Pacific remains one of the most dynamic markets in the world, so we have been driving extensive expansion across the region. I believe Cyrus’ efforts will further enhance our presence and reach in the market and help deliver new opportunities for Equinix and our customers,” added Deutsch.

With more than 20 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), financial strategy and corporate development, Adaggra was most recently with Telstra Ltd, where over the last 10 years he led a number of M&A projects as well as large and complex cross-enterprise strategic initiatives.

Prior to that, he worked in the M&A practice of Ernst & Young and acted as transaction advisor to large multinational corporations, private equity firms and private businesses.

Throughout his career, Adaggra has led numerous strategic acquisitions and data centre transactions to maximize return on investment and organisational growth.

His substantial professional experience across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Singapore underlies his vast regional experience in driving company growth through acquisitions and greenfield development.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Macquarie University, Australia, and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Equinix also recently made announcements about expanding its footprint in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore, as well as its intended acquisition in India and hyperscale business expansion in the region.
