Zelensky banks on digital transformation and seeks support from the global tech community to rebuild Ukraine
London, UK – New York, USA: Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his nation will continue digital transformation to rebuild Ukraine into a digital state.
“We continue the digital transformation of our state and our goal is to make Ukraine the freeze digital state in the world,” Zelenksy told via a 3D volumetric video produced with Evercoast technology on Thursday.
Zelensky banks on digital transformation
Addressing Europe’s global tech community including top tech entrepreneurs, investors and corporate leaders gathered during an event at Founders Forum London, Zelensky emphasized the role of digital transformation and the digital state to drive stability of all state institutions and banking systems.
Besides stability, digital transformation according to Zelensky will offer governance at maximum speed to people and business processes, without bureaucracy and corruption by leveraging digital documents, and paperless and cashless modes.
The Ukrainian President in his 3D volumetric video message from Kyiv revealed his plan to use artificial intelligence (AI) in the judiciary and notary system, distance learning and telemedicine.
Appeal to the global tech community
More so, Zelensky appealed to tech companies and the global tech community to take up this opportunity to rebuild Ukraine, which he called “a global digital revolution.”
“Ukraine is a chance for a global digital revolution, a chance for every technology company and a chance for every visionary to show their value, their skills, technologies and ambitions,” appealed Zelensky.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine started on February 24, 2022. Since then both neighbouring nations Ukraine and Russia are engaged in an ongoing war that has triggered a major geopolitical and economic crisis in the world.
Following the Russian invasion, major tech companies from the US, Europe and other western countries have halted their operations and shut their business in Russia.
The former comedian-actor turned politician added that he will further announce his plan during an upcoming dedicated conference to rebuilding Ukraine slated in the coming weeks at Luganna, Switzerland.
Digital platform United24 to reconstruct Ukraine into a digital state
Zelensky is likely to announce a digital platform United24 during this upcoming conference. This platform will enable tech companies to join and donate financial and technological resources and extend their support and efforts in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
New York-based Evercoast had donated 3D cameras, and equipment and produced Zelenksy’s 3D volumetric video message at Kyiv. The company specializes in digital content and communication in the form of 3D digital humans.
“Evercoast had the extraordinary opportunity to produce and deliver a seminal moment in volumetric video with a holographic capture of President Zelensky from Kyiv,” said Ben Nunez, Co-founder and CEO of Evercoast
“This is an incredibly important message from a leader whose country is under siege, and Evercoast is honoured to have been a part of this,” added Ben.
