Since May 11, 1999, every year the day is marked as National Technology Day to commemorate the scientific and technological achievements of Indian scientists and engineers.
For the economy to grow at a sustainable rate, adopting the latest technologies which augment the business performance is essential along with upgrading the skills of the existing workforce. The world today is scrambling to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and organisations have been forced to implement measures such as work from home for their employees to adhere to the social distancing norms.
This year’s National Technology Day is being observed under the dark shadow on the pandemic and how it has changed the entire world over the past one and half year or so.
