Bangalore: Fortinet recently hosted its Accelerate 2023 SAARC edition cybersecurity event across 11 cities in India and SAARC, bringing together over 3000 customers and partners. The conference aimed to explore emerging trends and opportunities in the cybersecurity field under the theme “Experience a secure future now.”

In today’s rapidly expanding threat landscape, cybercriminals exploit vulnerabilities at an unprecedented scale and speed. As network edges continue to grow, organisations must secure hybrid networks effectively.

Addressing these challenges requires maintaining visibility, control, and response consistently. Organisations can safeguard themselves from unexpected threats by automating, converging, and consolidating networks and security.

At Accelerate 2023 SAARC edition, the Fortinet leadership team delivered insightful keynote sessions covering a wide range of topics to educate partners and customers on the future of cybersecurity.

The conference featured a tech expo with live demonstrations of the latest Fortinet cybersecurity solutions and presentations, workshops, and updates to the NSE Certification and Engage Partner Programmes, reflecting Fortinet’s commitment to closing the cybersecurity skills gap.

During the conference, Vishak Raman, Fortinet’s VP of Sales, India, SAARC, SEAHK and ANZ, emphasized the importance of a unified platform approach for consistent and coordinated security deployment.

“Siloed security systems can overwhelm IT teams, hindering infrastructure visibility. To reduce complexity, all tools should integrate into a single ecosystem to exchange policies, security, and threat intelligence,” said Raman.

“Fortinet’s Security Fabric offers comprehensive protection across hybrid environments, including the cloud, operational technology (OT), and all edges. By investing in research and development, Fortinet aims to create solutions that keep pace with the relentless threats posed by cybercriminals,” added Raman.
