Mumbai: To support the growing demand for Sophos Central – a cloud management platform, Sophos opened a new data centre in Mumbai. Sophos’ new data centre in India is overall the third data centre in the entire Asia Pacific, Japan and Australia region.
Sophos said that its new data centre located in Mumbai is now open, provides the local capacity to address the growing demand for Sophos Central. The new data centre supports Sophos’ portfolio of advanced, next-generation cybersecurity products.
The cybersecurity company Sophos had announced plans for a new data centre in Mumbai last month.
Sophos’ new data centre also provides private and public organisations of any size with the ability to store, manage and access data in-country, allowing them to meet local data sovereignty regulations.
Besides the Mumbai data centre, Sophos has one data centre each in Japan and Australia, making in total three data centres in the entire APAC, Japan and Australia region.
The initial products and services in the portfolio with access to the new data centre include Sophos Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Sophos Intercept X, Intercept X for Server, Sophos Encryption, and Sophos Managed Threat Response services.
The Sophos India data centre is hosted by Amazon Web Services in Mumbai and is Sophos’ third data centre in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. The other two locations are in Australia and Japan.
