London, UK: Consumer tech startup Nothing based in London has commenced its operations officially on Wednesday. This move comes after the tech startup received $7 million in seed funding in December 2020.
The consumer tech startup Nothing is the brainchild of the popular smartphone brand Oneplus’ Co-Founder Carl Pei. Pei is a Chinese-born Swedish technopreneur. He and Pete Lau co-founded OnePlus in 2013.
iPod inventor Tony Fadell, YouTuber Casey Neistat, Twitch Co-Founder Kevin Lin, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, Josh Buckley along with CRED’s Founder Kunal Shah are the prominent investors in Nothing.
“It’s been a while since anything interesting happened in tech. It is time for a fresh breeze of change,” said Carl Pei, CEO and Founder – Nothing.
“Nothing’s mission is to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future. We believe that the best technology is beautiful, yet natural and intuitive to use. When sufficiently advanced, it should fade into the background and feel like nothing,” added Pei in a statement.
The consumer tech startup informed in the statement that it will be releasing its first smart devices later this year.
“Consumer tech is a tidal wave of limitless potential. Nothing will be the brand at the forefront and I can’t wait for the world to experience its products,” said YouTuber Casey Neistat.
Nothing’s philosophy is to remove barriers between people and technology. And bring back artistry, passion and trust to the field of consumer technology.
