BGSW opens vehicle validation centre in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) opens vehicle validation centre at its Coimbatore campus for mobility Tier-2 suppliers. The facility has the state-of-art infrastructure to augment application engineering and system validation in vehicles.

Over the past 15 years, BGSW Coimbatore centre has built its expertise in many aspects of the mobility domain. To further augment the capability, the System Engineering department has built and contributed to advanced technology solutions for leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the country.

With the establishment of the vehicle validation centre, the Coimbatore centre will have the end-to-end engineering capability to manage complete engineering programs and develop tech solutions in the mobility domain that will boost the centre’s current capability in terms of both quantity and quality.

The facility will play a pivotal role at BGSW formerly known as Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions (RBEI) to develop, experience, and test cross-domain solutions, which is a future growth area in the mobility sector

“The newly inducted facility in BGSW Coimbatore campus is a testimony to the group’s undertaking to invest and continuously enhance our mobility capability. Additionally, this is a step further towards our commitment of expanding India’s mobility prowess,” said RK Shenoy, Executive Leadership Team Member, and SVP of Mobility Engineering, Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW).

“In the ever-evolving space of mobility technology, the new experience and validation center provides a platform that helps shape the industry’s future while keeping our talent relevant,” said Naved Narayan, VP and Centre Head of Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW), Coimbatore.

“The facility aims to further leverage the massive ecosystem of engineering colleges which produces vast talent pool of mobility engineers and vehicle enthusiasts,” added Narayan.

“Furthermore, we aim to help budding engineers experience the entire range of mobility engineering that the city promises,” he said.

BGSW Coimbatore centre is the first R&D unit that was established outside Bangalore. It presently employs around 8,300+ professionals and is a centre that contributes to developing innovations in new technology areas, electrification, AIoT connected products, two-wheeler and off-highway mobility domains, and software and IT development.
