Posted by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Aramco and Cognite, an industrial software provider have launched a new venture CNTXT based in Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh-headquartered joint tech venture CNTXT will support industrial digitalisation in the Kingdom and the wider MENA region.
CNTXT will provide digital transformation services and solutions to help companies in the public and private sectors future-proof their data infrastructure, increase revenue, cut costs, and reduce risks while enhancing operational sustainability and security.
CNTXT is Google Cloud’s reseller for cloud solutions in the Kingdom and the exclusive reseller of Cognite Data Fusion in the MENA region.
Google Cloud is expected to launch a “Centre of Excellence” later this year to provide training to developers and business leaders on how to use cloud technologies.
Abdullah Jarwan was named CEO of CNTXT along with a management team of local and international talent to lead the business. CNTXT plans to significantly grow the team this year and it hopes of becoming the top tech employer in the Kingdom.

The new joint tech venture CNTXT is based on strong ties between Aramco and Cognite owned by Aker ASA.
Aker ASA is a majority stake owner in Cognite. The partnership began in 2019 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop synergies and share knowledge on industrial digitalisation and sustainability initiatives.
