HCL hits $10 billion revenue mark with special bonus

Noida: HCL Technologies (HCL), one of India’s top IT services recent crossed the $10 billion revenue milestone for 2020. The company is issuing a one-time special bonus worth Rs 700 crore to its employees globally.

HCL Technologies achieved this major milestone just 20 years after the company went public. The company is celebrating this milestone and expressing gratitude to all the employees with minimum of one year of service will receive a bonus, the equivalent of ten days’ salary.

“Our employees are our most valuable asset. Despite an unrelenting pandemic, each and every member of our HCL family has demonstrated immense commitment and passion, contributing to the growth of the organisation,” said Apparao VV, Chief HRO – HCL Technologies.

“The $10 billion revenue milestone is a testament of our remarkable resilience as an organisation and the entrepreneurial spirit of our 159,000+ employees. With this gesture, we want to sincerely express our gratitude to our employees and their families for all their support,” added Apparao.

Employees will get a special bonus in February 2021. The special bonus amounting approximately $90 million-plus payroll taxes in some countries. The impact of this excludes from the company’s recent FY21 EBIT guidance.

Shiv Nadar and Arjun Malhotra founded HCL Technologies on August 11, 1976. Today, HCL operates across 50 countries with over 159,000+ staff from 157 nationalities. It has a global presence with offices across the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Midde East & Africa) and Asia Pacific.

It consolidated revenues of $10.02 billion for 12 months ended December 31, 2020.
