NTT appoints Avinash Joshi as India CEO

Mumbai: The $11 billion global technology services company NTT Ltd, on Thursday appointed Avinash Joshi as CEO for its India business.

As India CEO, Joshi will be responsible for end-to-end go-to-market, sales, delivery, operations, and profitability for NTT Ltd in India.

The company has elevated Sharad Shanghi to the new role of MD and will lead NTT’s businesses in India. The newly-appointed India CEO Joshi will report to Sharad Shanghi.

The appointment of Avinash Joshi has come at a time when the operations of NTT Group have undergone a significant reorganisation and strategic consolidation of business activities.

“Avinash brings exceptionalvalue, with his extensive experience of working in IT & Telecom Industry. As we undertake massive infrastructure and capacity building, we look forward to his impactful leadership intaking the company to greater heights and expanding market coverage,” said Sharad Sanghi, NTT MD – India.

Joshi joins NTT from IBM where he worked for over 18 years and mainly his work focused on P&L, Strategic Business Development, Key Account Management, Sales and Delivery.

In his last role, Joshi was the Senior Partner and VP – 5G, APAC – IBM Services. He brings more than three decades of experience in Client facing roles and P&L management.
