Posted by New Delhi: AXA XL has appointed Anish Jadav as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), Retail Property & Casualty (P&C), UK & Lloyd’s market, effective in July.
In his new role, Jadav will be responsible for developing and executing AXA XL’s Retail P&C underwriting strategy, optimising product offering and profitability. He will lead a team of underwriters in London and report to Luis Prato, CUO – UK & Lloyd’s market.

Jadav will join AXA XL from Zurich Insurance Ireland. He has held the position of CUO since 2018, overseeing underwriting for the company’s general insurance business in Ireland. He had previously been CUO for Zurich Insurance Singapore, Zurich’s Asian hub for commercial insurance.
Prior to that, Jadav held several senior underwriting and actuarial roles in Zurich’s business in the United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the UK’s Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
AXA XL since the start of 2021 has announced a few key appointments already, strengthening business operations in the UK & Lloyd’s market.
