Anis Chenchah joins Wipro as CEO of APMEA

Dubai, UAE – Bangalore, India: Former Capgemini executive Anis Chenchah has joined Wipro in place of N S Bala, who has resigned from the position of CEO, APMEA region due to personal reasons.

Wipro announced the appointment of Anis Chenchah as a member of the Wipro Executive Board and CEO, APMEA (Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa) region.

Anis Chenchah has over two decades of experience in Consulting, IT and Business Process Services. He joins from Capgemini where he was the Global CEO of Capgemini Business Services and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Prior to that, Chenchah held various leadership roles in Capgemini Financial Services across Europe and the Middle East.

Chenchah holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from ENSISA in France. He will take over from N S Bala, CEO of APMEA Strategic Market Unit, Wipro.

The company disclosed that N S Bala, who has been leading the APMEA Strategic Market Unit as CEO for the past year has decided to move back to the US for personal reasons.

Wipro said that it respects Bala’s decision to therefore move on from the company and wants to sincerely thank him, not only for setting a strong foundation in place in APMEA but also for his unstinting contributions to Wipro over the past three decades.
